Following the success of the National Adoption Day, another adoption event was held in Newcastle, where 30 more greyhounds found loving families. This brought the total number of adopted dogs from these events to an impressive 107. Subsequent events in Orange also saw 12 greyhounds finding new homes, surpassing expectations and highlighting the increasing interest in greyhound adoption.

In a significant partnership, GRNSW has joined forces with the Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) to raise funds and awareness for brain cancer research. The industry’s initial contribution of $20,000 to the MHF underscores the commitment to supporting charitable causes. A forthcoming campaign, ‘Red & Blue All November Through,’ will see donations made to the MHF every time a greyhound wearing the red or blue rug wins a race in NSW.
Additionally, GRNSW has extended a helping hand to participants affected by the recent devastating floods in the Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers regions. Emergency financial assistance amounting to $200,000 has been earmarked to aid those grappling with the aftermath of the natural disaster.
