Harness Racing South Australia has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Dean Elliott, will be stepping down from his role at the end of May. Elliott, who took on the position in October 2021, will be returning to his home state of Victoria to assume the role of Head of Industry and Commercial – AU at Entain (Ladbrokes and Neds).
During his tenure, Elliott spearheaded a period of transformation within the South Australian harness racing industry, focusing on enhancing engagement, forging partnerships, and improving governance. His leadership led to the implementation of key strategies that optimized HRSA’s funding model, resulting in notable growth in horse population, market share, and a substantial increase in prizemoney.
