Racing Queensland Welcomes Andrew Clarke as Harness Racing Manager

Racing Queensland has welcomed Andrew Clarke as the new Harness Racing Manager, a move that signifies a strategic step towards enhancing the harness racing operations within the organization. Andrew Clarke, an experienced industry professional with over a decade of expertise, has been appointed to the role of Senior Racing Manager – Harness at Racing Queensland.

Having previously worked at Entain for 12 years, where he managed trading teams for both harness and greyhound codes, Clarke also held positions as a Racing Supervisor (Special Projects) and Strategy Lead. His involvement as a board member and Deputy Chair at the Albion Park Harness Racing Club further underscores his deep engagement with the harness racing community.

David Brick, the General Manager – Racing at Racing Queensland, expressed confidence in Clarke’s capabilities, citing his profound understanding of harness racing both from an administrative and enthusiast perspective. Brick emphasized Clarke’s passion for the sport and his well-rounded skill set as key factors that set him apart as the ideal candidate for the position.

Clarke’s transition to Racing Queensland comes at a pivotal time for the harness racing scene, with recent events like the Ultimate Driver Championship showcasing the industry’s innovative and progressive spirit. Looking ahead, Clarke is set to take on his new role starting March 17, succeeding Mr. Brick, who assumed the role of GM of Racing in December 2024.
